Review
I found the Beneton YouTube Downloader application easy to download and install, but it includes third party software that monitors your Internet and computer activity for marketing purposes, so I declined that at installation. A browser enhancement is also offered at installation, which you can also decline, if you wish. When the program launched, I was prompted by the program to enter the type of video in a search box and clicking the search icon took me straight to the YouTube website. After choosing a video, I copied its URL and pasted into the relevant text box in the Download tab on the interface - clicked the 'Start Downloading' button and a progress bar appeared monitoring my download’s progress. My video was downloading within seconds - this program is very fast. When the download finished, the program prompted me to go to the Play tab to watch my video. In the Play section, the option to Play in External Window is offered, which gives a larger view, and you can drag any item on to the play button to watch it, if you like.
Once I was certain that my video download had been successful, I proceeded to the Convert tab. To convert a YouTube, or indeed any other FLV video to another format, all I had to do was double click on the video of my choice, and select a format and destination file for my converted video. Once I clicked the conversion button, my video was converted with great speed and I was able to access it in my convert folder to watch it in the player of my choice. This program is very easy to use and an excellent conversion application. |
